The Borgward Isabella - Borgward's biggest success
The successor of the Hansa 1500/1800, the former Hansa 1500 called Isabella, was produced from 1954 on. During the following 7 years some alterations were made and several sister models produced. From 1955 on the Isabella TS with a stronger engine and from 1957 on a sportive coupé were produced. A station wagon and a pick-up for the export followed. Until the stop in 1961 202.839 Isabella cars have been produced.
